FAQs

How do we go about our work?

We reach out to established CSEC [Commercially Sexually Exploited Children] Organizations throughout the country. We offer, and facilitate either a single or series of art workshops to their CSEC community or vulnerable populations. EMA will then feature and sell that artwork to the community. Proceeds goes directly back and into the pockets of the Survivors who created them.

What does EMA envision for our future?

We are audacious in our goals, risks, and engagement at EMPOWER ME ART. We know empowering girls will change the national and international landscape of awareness and services for girls, and survivors of sex-trafficking.

How do we stay accountable to our mission?

● Did we create a safe, fun and creative space for profitable artwork.

● Did we feature and sell the Artwork created and maintain ongoing contact and engagement with the girls.

● Did we engage the girls and the community in a honest conversation to bring awareness to early age entry prevention and impact CSEC recidivism.

Why now EMA?

The leading age among girls taken into exploitation is 12 years old.

● 60% to 70% of Survivors return to their exploiters because they often lack financial independence or stability.

● Absence of entrepreneurial programs solely for sex-trafficking victims.

● The age of grooming can start as early as 6 years old.

Why choose Art as a platform to empower the CSEC community?

Empower Me Art is designed to empower girls to be their own agents of change. To be confident, and to cultivate HER own root to power- ultimately transforming HER legacy and cultivating the community around HER.
